David Battany is the Executive Vice President of Capital Markets for Guild Mortgage Company. He oversees the firm’s capital market activities, including pricing, hedging, and secondary market execution. He’s also responsible for Guild’s credit policy, shipping, and product strategy functions. David manages the firm’s investor relationships with the GSEs, government agencies, and private investors. Prior to joining Guild, David was the Chief Product Strategist for Penny Mac from 2012 to 2015, where he was responsible for managing the product development group, as well as PennyMac’s relationships with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, Ginnie Mae, and the mortgage insurance companies. David is the chairman of the MBA’s Residential Loan Production Committee and is a current member of the MBA’s Affordable Housing Advisory Council.
As President and Co-Founder of New American Funding, Patty Arvielo leads by example as she manages operations and sales for the company’s headquarters, 198 nationwide branches, and 3,200+ employees. As a role model for women in business, she continues to guide the company in a progressive direction by creating a diverse and inclusive culture. Patty champions the underserved in the housing sector and leverages 39 years of mortgage experience as a national influencer and active servant in her community.
Her expertise and influence extend to numerous committees within the industry, including the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), the Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee (HCFAC), and the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Affordable Homeownership Advisory Council. Patty is a former member of the Fannie Mae Affordable Housing Advisory Council and both Freddie Mac’s Community Lender Advisory Board and the Affordable Housing Council.
Outside the office and into the community, she currently serves on the National Park Foundation Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive Board of Big Brothers and Sisters (BBBS) Orange County.
Patty is politically involved in the current and future states of mortgage banking, and visits Washington, D.C. to lobby on behalf of the industry and homeowners.
Melissa Wright is a passionate leader that thrives on building effective teams and culture where people thrive.
